A COZY 3-BED 2-BATH COTTAGE + STUDY
Cedar East is a conveniently located, simple, and cozy property designed for rest and relaxation with all the comforts of home. A 5 minute drive to Bryce Resort makes it a great winter destination for skiing, tubing and ice skating! Guests also love the easy drive to Luray Caverns (40 min) Harrisonburg -JMU (40 min) Shenandoah National Park (50 min) and fun local places such as Cave Ridge Winery where you can rent an igloo for an outdoor wine drinking experience!

Each bed has a new Casper mattress as well as all-new linens and pillows. Each room has blackout drapes and convenient charging stations for electronics are located throughout the home. Each bedroom has brand new low pile carpet.

All of the bathrooms have all been refreshed with new flooring, vanities and lighting. We provide nice fluffy towels and keep the home sparkling clean. Guests will also be provided with soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion similar to a hotel for their stay. A washer and dryer are available for use.

There are two smart TVs (family room and study) as well as high-speed internet. Our full kitchen makes it easy to cook meals and our dining area is perfect for gathering to hang out.
Enjoy the private study equipped with a futon, TV, desk, and reading chair. Hang out and play one of the many board games we provide, put a puzzle together, or enjoy a book or magazine. This is one of our favorite rooms in the house.
As the sun sets, venture outside to the fire pit area and enjoy the evening making smores or relax on the back deck.

The dining area seats six with convenient access to the family room and outdoor living space.

You can expect everything to be above & beyond. It was a gem in the woods. We were so happy to have found such a clean & inviting place for our small vacation.
We loved the fire pit at night & all the conveniences of home. Great WiFi. Beautiful woods surrounding the cottage & a large deck to enjoy nature with a cup of coffee or glass of wine at night.
It was a great spot to visit all the sights nearby. Luray Caverns, Town of Staunton, Gordonville & lots of trails nearby to hike.

Rachel is an incredible host! She responds to questions very quickly and even provides recommendations of things to do in the area. Rachel’s welcome guide is very helpful and extremely detailed. The place is incredible and has everything you could ask for. You can tell that Rachel takes great pride in the house; it is beautifully decorated and unbelievably clean. We are already talking about our next trip back!

We loved this house! It was perfect for a weekend getaway. The house was adorable, very clean, had nice furniture, comfy beds, and was even decorated for the holidays! It has a front porch, sizable back deck, and a firepit area. It was also very convenient to Bryce resort, hiking, and vineyards. Rachel provides lots of information about the house, the area, and shared things to do/where to eat, etc. Would definitely go back!

My wife and I really enjoyed our time at Rachel’s House. This home was super clean, comfortable and relaxing. The beds and pillows are out of this world comfortable, and the fireplace adds a nice intimate touch. The Wifi works great and Rachel left multiple types of snacks with a personalized touch card, which was a good surprise. Everything you could possibly need this house has! Make sure to spend some time outside at the fire pit to enjoy smores and beautiful hawks that fly over. Do yourself a favor and book this home for a wonderful time in the Shenandoah Area!
